Itinerary

Day One:

Arrive Delhi

Afternoon in the markets and historical landmarks such as Kutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, Gandhi Museum.

Overnight Delhi.

Day Two:

Train to Kalka and Toy Train to Shimla

Day: Iconic Indian railways trains to historic hilltop town of Shimla.

Overnight Shimla.

Day Three:

Shimla Sightseeing & History of British Raj

Day: British Raj Heritage Walk (2,180m): Acclimatisation.

This will be a first opportunity to explore the British Raj hill town Shimla.

Join your guide for a heritage walk 2-3 hours for history of Shimla, with inspiring views of the snow-capped Himalayas.

Day Four:

Alpine hills and Hot Springs

Day: Hike to Thali Village through the stunning Satluj Valley to Tattapani.

Overnight Hotel Hot Springs

Day Five:

Local Village Visits

Day: Thali Village. Short hike to visit two small schools and plan the first phase of water filter programme for them.

Day Six:

Local Village Visits

Day: Baror Village. Short, spectacular hike to a hilltop community and school.

Day: Amazing and colourful Hindu temples on route.

Yoga class available in the evening to unwind before enjoying the sunset and camp fire at Chindi village.

Shikari - Alpine Forest, Orchard Walks & Camping

Morning: Breakfast in an alpine forests.

Day: Trek through apple orchards and villages to Shanthal camp.

Overnight camping overlooking Karsog Valley and Chindi.

Day Eleven:

Tattapani/Shimla - Descent through Villagaes to Shimla

Day: Descend through traditional and remote communities farmed by local families.

Overnight Shimla.

Day Twelve:

Chandigarh/Delhi - Leaving the mountains

Day: Leave the mountains for Chandigarh and onto Delhi.

Overnight Delhi.

Day Thirteen:

Taj Mahal & Agra Fort

Day: Train to the awe-inspiring white marble palace and then onto the UNESCO World Heritage site of Agra Fort and shopping in street markets.

Evening: Fast train back to Delhi and overnight.

Day Fourteen:
