What's Included

Itinerary

Day One:

Arrival Bagdogra Airport

Collection at airport followed by drive to Gangtok.

Day Two:

Sightseeing in Gantok

Day Highlights:

Visit the Institute of Handloom & handicraft with a tour around the museum, drive to Flower show Centre which houses varieties of flowers and other ornamental plants.

Visit Tashi View Point with views of Mount Kanchendzonga, the third highest peak in the world.

On to Ganesh Tok, a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh.

Travel to Banjhakri falls to view the famous shamanist statues  and then to Pal Zurmang Kagyud Monastery in Lingdum featuring stunning Buddhist architecture.

Towards the end of the day you will visit Chorten stupa, the Institute of Tibetology which educates hundreds of monks, and has a museum to showcase sikkimese art and culture.

Finally, take a ride on a Ropeway which provides a good view of canyon.

Evening rest.

Day Three:

Day trip to Tsomgo

Day Highlights:

Starting with a different experience with a drive to the sacred Tsomgo lake, situated at 12,400 feet. Soak in the changes of nature as the altitude changes.

Travel onwards to Nathula after 14 kms. Nathula is an Indian-Chinese picket and the only pass to cross over to Tibet.

Driving onwards through stunning landscapes, arrive at Babamandir (13000 feet), to visit the  Baba Harbhajan Sahib Mandi temple.

Late return to Gangtok.

Day Four:

Drive Gantok to Lachen

Day Highlights:

Drive onwards to Lachen, a tribal village in one of the remotest place of Sikkim.

On the way you will visit Seven sister falls and stop over at the Singhik Kanchendzong View Point.

Day Five:

Drive Lachen to Thangu

Day Highlights:

Enroute visit the Chopta Valley, which features stunning scenery of mountain backdrops against blue lakes.  

Drive back to Lachen.

Day Six:

Drive Lachen to Yumthang

Day Highlights:

Early set off to Yumthang to experience the beauty of nature, with flowers set amongst snow clad mountains.

Drive onwards to Hot Springs at Yumesamdong (Optional)

Evening return to Lachung

Day Seven:

Drive Lachung to Gantok

Day Eight:

Drive Gantok to Pelling

Day Highlights:

Travel to Pelling through paddy fields , Tea Gardens and forests and on the route visiting Siddeswar Temple at Namchi, foillowed by Rabongla and the Buddha Park.

Day Nine:

Explore Pelling

Day Highlights:

Visit the ruins of Rabdentse, the 2nd capital of the ancient Kingdom of Sikkim.

Visit Sanga-Choling Monastery, built in 1697 A.D, and the famous Pemayangtse Monastery which is one of the oldest Monasteries.

Travel onwards to the high Sinchore Bridge and onwards through waterfalls to visit the Sacred Lake famously in the shape of the foot of the Buddha.

Evening return to Pelling.  

Day Ten:

Drive Pelling to Darjeeling

Day Eleven:

Sightseeing in Darjeeling

Day Highlights:

Early morning departure to enjoy the sunrise over the mountains.

Then onwards to the Ghoom Monastery and halt at Batasia Loop for breakfast. Afterwards continue on to the P.N.Zoological Park, Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help centre, Japanese Temple and the many Tea Gardens.

In the evening explore at your leisure.

Day Twelve:

Departure - Travel to Bagdogra Airport

Day Highlights:

Delhi sightseeing and Departure : Early morning sightseeing of historical sights of Delhi including KutubMinar, Gandhi Museum and markets of Delhi and shopping in Delhi.
