What's Included

Train Journeys: All train tickets are included New Delhi- Shimla, Shimla/Kalka – New Delhi and New Delhi to Agra and Return.

Itinerary

Day One:

Arrive at Delhi

Acclimatisation day, including:

Walking tour of India Gate

A guide tro Sir Edwin Lutyen's New Delhi

A Hindi lesson with a local teacher

Day Two:

Early Morning visit to Sikh BanglaSaheb & Explore Old Delhi

Morning: Early Morning visit to Sikh BanglaSaheb

Afternoon: Explore old Delhi, visiting Jantar Manter/Aksherdham temple and Raj Ghat

Evening: In the evening find your night train to Kalka

Day Three:

Early toy train to Shimla - Afternoon visit mall Road and Ridge.

Morning: Early morning departure to experience the famous toy train to Shimla

Afternoon; Visit to the Mall Road and Ridge

Evening; A talk will be given about the history of the sites visited in the day

Day Four:

History of the British Raj in Shimla - Day of activities

Morning: Following guidance, students will self lead walks to discover British Raj History and Monuments in the rich history of Shimla

Afternoon: Bus to Naldehrafor for an evening at a home stay.

Evening: Expert guides will instruct on proper fire making techniques, and a group learning exercise will cover map reading and local navigation

Day Five:

Hike Naldehra to Thali village

Morning: Commence Soft Hike from Naldehra, allowing for students to navigate a certain amount themselves using road maps and find their way to local village Thali in the Satluj Valley.

During the hike there will be a mock scenario for a medical emergency.

Afternoon/Evening: Learn field cooking & shelter making.

Day Six:

Morning school visit and cultural activities

Morning: School visit and cultural activities with local students

Afternoon: Instructor Led Fire Making, Singing & Kabadi games

Evening: Hotsprings.

Day Seven:

Early drive to Bagshad and Trek to Mahunag with Sustainability Talk

Morning: Drive to Bagshad and then Trek to Mahunag Camp.

Afternoon: Activity with schools.

Evening: Talks about plastic use and climate issues.

Day Eight:

Trek Chindi to Shanthal village

Day: Trek Chindi to Shanthal village.

Afternoon/Evening: Camping and self cooking Indian food at the camp

Day Nine:

Shikari Jungle Camp

Day: Based from Shikari Jungle Camp, students will plan their routes for a hike to and from a nearby location

Afternoon: Drive to Mandi or Shimla - student decision.

Day Ten:

Rewalser Lake & Temples

Day: Drive to Rewalser and walk in town and around the lake

Evening: An evening tour of old temples in Mandior Palace, a mesmerising experience

Day Eleven:

Morning Drive to Chandigarh

Morning: Drive to Chandigarh sightseeing

Afternoon: 5 hours travel by Jeep/bus to visit the famed Rock Garden

Evening: fast train 3hrs to Delhi.

Day Twelve:

Early train to explore Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and stone workshop visit

Day: Explore the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and visit a working stone workshop

Day Thirteen:

Tuk tuk or cycle riksha travel/Sightseeing Kutub Minar and Lotus temple in Delhi

Day: Tuk tuk or cycle rikshaw to sightsee around the Kutub Minar and Lotus temple in Delhi'

Afternoon: Ahopping at Delhi Hut.

Students will have the ability to apply the street skills learned throughout the tour
